Remission tax cut of local rates

You have received a letter from the municipality of Apeldoorn to pay your tax of 2006 again.

You can apply for remission or a tax cut of local rates. In your case this will mean remission or a cut for:

• waste products levy: “Diftar”.

• Sewage levy: “Rioolrecht”.

You have to pay a waste product levy because your household refuse (garbage) is collected.

This levy is not a uniform amount but an individual one. The height of the amount depends on the number of persons that lives in your house and the amount of times you put your rubbish bag outside your house for being collected. Or how often you put a rubbish bag in the underground container.

You pay the sewage levy because the water you use for your toilet, shower and washing-machine is drained off via the sewer-pipes that lay under the road surface. The height of this levy is depending on the value of your house, so it is also an individual amount of money.

You can ask for the remission by filling in the special form. You can apply for this form by filling in a coupon that you will finf in “Weekend Totaal”the council information paper.

You send this filled in coupon to: “Gemeente Apeldoorn, Antwoordnummer 63, 7300 VB.

You don't have to put a stamp on the envelope.

On this form you will find which other papers ( proofs) you must enclose.

DO THIS CAREFULLY OR YOU WILL RUN THE RISK OF MISSING THE CHANCE OF A REMISSION OR TAX CUT.

There will be no remission or cut if the form is filled in not correctly .

If the form has not been filled in properly, this will mean: THERE WILL BE NO REMISSION.

You will get no remission either, e.g. if you own a car worth over € 2269,00. When you are paying off a debt of over € 136,00 there will be no remission either.

In case you have already received an assessment, start paying the first instalment. If you should get a remission or tax cut later, you will get the money back.
